My Approach
Dancing through life with curiosity, compassion, and care, I come to counselling with an open mind, a warm heart, and a nurturing soul. As an artist, educator, and advocate for radical self-love, I am passionate about helping people reconnect with the wisdom of the body. My therapeutic practice supports caregivers, creatives, and neurodivergent folks as they reclaim their sense of self, build anchors of safety, and foster resilience in the presence of adversity. I am an avid learner and enthusiastic supporter of holistic health who wants to empower people to live meaningful lives that are rooted in authenticity and connection.
Therapeutic Orientation
With empathy and honesty, I provide trauma-informed and neuro-affirming care that harnesses the body’s natural ability to move towards health, connection, and aliveness. My therapeutic work is guided by attachment theory, polyvagal theory, Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and the NeuroAffective Relational Model (NARM). Therapy sessions include a combination of relationship building, psychoeducation, experiential learning, and somatic exercises.

A little bit about Tabitha
I love to dance and feel fully alive! I love to walk and experience the beauty of nature. I love to express my creativity through making music, crafting, and playing dress-up. I love to build relationships and cultivate connections in the community. I love to learn and practice new skills that enhance well-being and support my creative expression.
Background & Experience
As a dancer, my journey to counselling started with a passion for injury prevention and health promotion which led me to complete a BSc in Kinesiology and a BFA in Dance. From there, I worked in movement instruction and active rehabilitation where I witnessed the interconnectedness of mind and body and how the quality of our mental health impacts how we move. This experience inspired me to deepen my knowledge of mental health and how to use psychotherapy to support individuals to live embodied lives.
Official Certifications
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (#26546).
