Our Interns offer free 15-minute online consultation calls if you’d like to have an online “meet and greet” first, to ensure it feels like a good therapeutic fit before starting full sessions.

We are dedicated to providing accessible counselling services, with our low-cost rates being among the most affordable in the Vancouver area. Our standard Low Cost Rate is: $50 for a 50 minute session - Individual Counselling
Sliding Scale Options Available
If you find yourself in need of a sliding scale option, please feel free to reach out and let us know. We offer a “pay what you can” rate, to ensure you receive the support you need. We are more than happy to help and accomodate lowering the rate to an amount you can afford!

Unfortunately, low-cost counseling sessions aren’t eligible for claims under extended health benefits, as insurance providers require services to be delivered by a licensed professional for reimbursement.
Master’s Level Student Interns do not have their RCC designation yet, which means sessions with them are not eligible for claim submission.

That is one of our most asked questions, and we can assure you our student interns receive thorough, dedicated and ongoing supervision from Rebecca, our Clinic Director, Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC), and Approved Clinical Supervisor.
We carefully select practicum candidates who align with our clinic’s values and bring meaningful life and professional experience, ensuring a high standard of care for our clients.

Our Masters Level Interns meet regularly with Rebecca Rauscher, the Approved Clinical Supervisor, to discuss challenges, progress, and present client cases (Participants will not be named or identified in this material) to explore interventions, techniques, and ethical considerations.
Your sessions with an Intern may be recorded, either on video or audio, and gone over with her Supervisor or her University. A consent form with these details will be provided to you before starting full sessions, so you can provide your informed consent.
The Master of Counselling Program is very grateful for your willingness to participate in assisting this intern in meeting the learning objectives for their course. Without participants, our interns would be unable to attain the hands-on learning that is a critical part of their programs.
