My Approach
At the heart of my practice is the unwavering belief that every person holds the inner wisdom and strength to create a life aligned with their values that feels both authentic and fulfilling to them. I hold a compassionate, nonjudgmental, and collaborative space where you can feel safe to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I also take a holistic perspective in my practice, considering not just mental health, but the interconnectedness of mind, body, spirit, and environment.
While I am honoured to support clients through any sort of hardship or life situation, I have a particular passion for supporting those navigating relationships, life transitions, stress, anxiety, depression, self-worth, eating disorders, body-image, and grief and loss. I am currently a Master of Counselling student and will be completing my practicum at Boundless Heart as I work toward earning my professional designation as a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BCACC.

A little bit about Johanna:
I’m incredibly grateful to live, work, and play on the traditional, unceded, and ancestral territory of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Nation, where I’m fortunate to have nature right at my doorstep.
I spend time in the mountains daily—riding my dirt bike in the summer and snowboarding in the winter. I also love hiking, camping, swimming, stargazing—really, anything that gets me outside. That said, I cherish my indoor time too. You’ll often find me unable to put down a fantasy novel, writing in my journal (my daily gratitude practice!), meditating, playing guitar, or doing Pilates. Both the wild and the quiet parts of life help keep me grounded and inspired.
Background & Experience
In my other role outside of Boundless Heart, I serve as a specialized outreach worker at an organization dedicated to providing inclusive, trauma-informed programs that support individuals affected by gender-based violence, including sexual assault, intimate partner violence, harassment, and systemic oppression. My one role involves offering direct support to both recent and historic survivors of sexual assault, while my other role is working with BC Housing to secure housing subsidies for individuals fleeing gender-based violence and for single mothers in need of safe, stable housing.
My previous work experience includes supporting individuals in transition houses, as well as working with people experiencing homelessness and addiction. I have also both worked and volunteered with various hospice societies—a role that holds deep personal significance for me and continues to shape my professional path.
